Welcome to Vanish Studios! We are a Houston-based media production company focused on both photo and video. Take a look at our story!
We are Christian and Luis, two filmmakers with the shared dream of pursuing the film industry! Our story begins with a love of storytelling and a drive to create meaningful content for audiences. The process of crafting a film from conception, storyboarding, filming, and editing has always captivated us and has helped us ascend to accomplishments we never would’ve dreamed of.
Our journey began in high school, where we would both collaborate to create short films for our AV class. We would put lots of work into creating these films, staying after class for multiple days at a time to film and edit, and even leading to our first short film: Vanish. We worked our way up the ladder of our school’s community, helping out with various school and district events whenever necessary. We eventually made our way to competing in multiple film competitions across various categories in Beaumont, Corpus Christi, and Fort Worth. These competitions would challenge us in our storytelling, filming, and editing skills under extreme time constraints, which we were able to navigate.
After competitions, we moved on to work outside of the school. We first tackled the Environmental Defense Fund’s Houston Teens Care About Clean Air Video Contest, where we had to create an original video educating the public on ways of improving Houston’s pollution problems. We placed first against districts in the Houston area. This got us noticed by Sustainability Creatives, a California-based company focused on helping ecopreneurs in the job market by providing online courses and 1-on-1 meetings. We collaborated with them on numerous long and short form videos, even getting the opportunity to film promo videos for them.
Now, with our combined efforts, we bring you Vanish Studios! We want to provide the knowledge and skills we’ve learned in the videography and photography fields to you.
